He's an ex player that doesn't get it with Sunderland. At least Bennett is passionate about Sunderland. Marco does as little research as possible and is able to deal with the current situation because he doesn't care and goes through the motions spreading even more apathy. Brady is a far better pundit

This in a heartbeat. We're talking about him being the most exciting which is exactly what he was. Not the greatest goalscorer or the most skillful player but head and shoulders the most exciting. Quoting stats, facts and figures won't change that.

Whatever he says does not and will never negate the pleasure he gave me in a SUNDERLAND shirt.
Some of his goals were stupendous and that will do for me.

He was an ansolutely class player for us 30 years ago but you can't live in the past.

Here in the present, Marco is miserable old has-been sucking up to Shorty and shouting down fans over the radio for money.

I wish him and Derby the best of luck.

We know he loves other teams as well as Marco and other club 'legends'. I don't think anyone has a problem with that. But what if Quinny had said he wanted us to lose our next game? He wouldn't say it out loud even if he thought it. I think Marco said it without engaging his brain first.
It's not a surprise anyway, I think everyone has the measure of Marco and why he does the show.

Yes, I kind of agree. But I blame the employer for that, not him individually. I assume they can't find someone else willing to do it.

This is the point, I actually don't care that he wants Derby to win, that's irrelevant. It's the fact he is paid to represent SAFC and to say that he wants us to lose is unprofessional & even insulting to our fans. He should have just said he wanted a draw. We aren't down yet and IF we could get 3 points at Derby we would still have a chance of staying up, however small.
 
He's part of the Politbureau at SoL. Chats shit, defends the indefensible and flip flops in his opinion on a weekly basis. This latest outburst just shows how little of a fuck he gives beyond collecting money for being associated with our club.

And his B&B is overpriced.
