Thankfully you said 'personally'. Also, we won't have a 'new' derby, the mags will always be our derby whilst both clubs are active.
 

It's a sad fact that people are drawn to money and success. Money, of course, doesn't guarantee success, but it guarantees media promotion and new friends. If the suggested buyout goes ahead, Newcastle won't just gain the support of a young generation of fans in places like Shields but also in other parts of the country. To gain a big following overseas, they need to win big trophies and become Champions League regulars.

For all the notion that he'd 'right the ship' and get the club up the league I think he's been very lucky both times Newcastle were relegated.

Said it well before now and will say it again, definitely yes. Bought a club without doing proper due diligence, and has still ploughed money in. Yes, he's loaned them money but it's interest free/and or in lieu of advertising. He managed, somehow to get a very good manager (Benitez) to the club, and backed him when he relegated them. I'd accept that.

Spot on post. No owner we have had has backed any manager and no manager we have had has ever been as good as Benitez.
 
So to put things into perspective for all the reserve squad/subs bench/goalkeepers and long term saddos. At the moment there's people dieing, many more suffering, the economy has crashed and life is anything but normal. Really no one gives a fuck if your shitty club has or hasn't been taken over or not
