Marc Guiu - Boomerang Transfer confirmed

What a ridiculous decision Chelsea made. Absolutely ruined the lads season. I’d love to see him back with something to prove. During Afcon I can see Wilson and Mayenda being used as wingers a lot so could be a good option to have him

Chelsea are an awful option for young players to take
Signed multiple strikers, loaned him out, get a couple of short/medium term injuries, pay to have him recalled and then play him once for 15 minutes by mid-October. Joao Pedro will be back fit in a couple of weeks, and Delap a few weeks behind him.

So they've now ensured he can only play for Chelsea and Sunderland this season, and neither club really needs him. What a basket case Chelsea are.

The story will be bollocks, don't think there's any way we'd look at him now that we've got 3 strikers for 1 place. If he was genuine, proven quality then maybe, but he'd be a risk (especially judging by the Huddersfield game which, goal aside, was no better than we've seen from Brobbey). Still surprised he wanted to go back tbh. Must have known he was unlikely to get many chances even with their shortage up front. Thrown away half a season where he'd have had a lot of football

He wanted to stay at Sunderland. Chelsea wanted him back.

Good source

Would he really have had much of a choice in the matter? If the parent club want him back and had agreed a deal with us to do it there's little he can do surely

Don’t really see much traction in him coming back here in January. Unless Chelsea tie our hands once more with a “games played penalty clause” again. (Which surely, we will not wish to do…)
We have got Isidor, Mayenda and Brobbey ahead of him surely and so the chances of him getting enough minutes here to please him seems very remote.
It seems that the lad is stuck with Chelsea for the rest of the season….(or we have some kind of masterplan in place…🤔)

They normally aren’t though as they get brought in in most likely good money and loaned out then sold on which I’m guessing gets them more money. Guiu is different in the aspect where they have brought him back and had him sat on a bench whereas had he stayed here he would have had minutes for sure.

Totally ruined his season by making him warm their bench instead of getting regular starts and stuck in at Sunderland
