Marc Guiu - Boomerang Transfer confirmed


He hasn't impressed, but prior to Huddersfield he'd played about 50 minutes in 7 months and had returned late to pre season because of the club world cup, so I wouldn't hold that against him at all. If we're letting him go back we need to be bringing another striker in, can't be relying on the two we've got
 
We will have targets constantly every eventuality we will have a plan for. Targets for January. keeping tabs on players for future etc its what we brought new Dof in for. We will have players ready to go for, The club will be speaking to players, clubs now as we speak we will definitely bring a forward in tomorrow

Can’t imagine for a second there’s nobody else coming in.
 
Given Isidor and Mayenda can see Guiu not getting many minutes but now we can go and get an experienced striker/goal poacher or target man to add a point of difference to our attack

So this throws out the theory that it's impossible to recall a loan player if there's no recall clause. Basically, talk to the loan team, offer them a few quid compensation and job's a goodun.
 
I wonder if winning 2 of our first 3 games has persuaded one of our more ambitious striker targets from earlier in the summer to come, which would explain us being happy to send Guiu back.
 
Thing is though, the injury to Delap only happened yesterday. We would have had to already have a striker lined up even with guiu for us to have someone in place like. Couldn’t have got a deal done before agreeing to send him back this afternoon
 
Not sure its true that we've shafted chelsea for 5 million to be honest ...buying and selling or loaning between clubs is all about fostering relationships over time ......if we have shafted chelsea when they are desperate this may effect future deals down the line !... kld/speaky is professional and im sure he will use the situation to the clubs advantage without soiling future relationships..!We are no longer run by the barrow boy and the flash man wannabee who dragged our clubs name reputation through the mud and would rent out their grannies as corner flags if they could!
