There was talk of disasi being available on a loan with obligation to buy.

May be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 here. But I wonder if Chelsea have offered this deal to us as part of the agreement now that was have a loan slot to use from them now?

Disasi with option to buy would be better since we’ve helped them out.

I doubt very much we will be getting paid by them for letting them have their player back. Probably more a case of good will in the bank for next season, and let us have him again in January without a fee or an obligation to play him.

We will be reliant on good loans for the next few years at least, and Chelsea are one of the teams loaning out the most amount of quality players. It makes sense for us to build a strong relationship with them as we seemed to with United in the 00’s. Sometimes good business isn’t squeezing every penny out of a deal, but rather making the deal a much larger one. A smaller piece of a much larger pie so to speak.

We’ve opened ourselves up to this sort of thing by not agreeing a full season loan without any recall option. That said we may not have got him in the first place if we hadn’t agreed to that. The real issue is how late in the window it is and we’re probably going to struggle to get someone else in now. Other targets may have already made their move this window. Maybe we can tempt someone who’s fallen out of favour already this season.
