Man Utd v Leeds at Croke Park

I was only talking this on Monday at the Bohs v Waterford game. The 5pm kick off was grand. The Friday night games are good if you live in the area. But trying to get from Balbriggan or Swords after work or if you live out in that direction is a nightmare to get to a game or to get home.
I’ve a season ticket to watch Glentoran. Married a woman west of the Bann so live out on the Tyrone/Armagh border. Every game at The Oval is an “away game” 😄. The near constant Tuesday and Friday night games lately are a proper pain. Getting over to Sunderland to watch the lads a few times a season is a welcome distraction. Absolutely agree with @Black Cat Gypsy about folks this side of the Irish Sea turning their noses up at supporting their local team. I’m a 5th generation Glen man. My youngest who’s been going to matches with me from last season the 6th. Incidentally I got her over to the SoL earlier this year so she’s now 2nd generation MLF too 😄. I find it quite a privilege to be honest to have the personal and family connection to two clubs in different leagues. Nothing odd at all about it as far as I’m concerned. The only clash of loyalty may come next season when the lads meet Glentoran in the conference league 😉

Could be Champions League for Glentoran!! Massive game on Friday night.

Potential winner takes all. Top three all same GD. Larne win and they’re champions. Glens win but then still need to get 3 points away to 3rd place Coleraine on last day of season to have a chance of winning. And realistically need to do so in both games by 3, maybe 4 goals to skew the GD in our favour. Tightest title race in a long while.
