Re: Newcastle in talks with Cisse

we werent in for him!

If we were not in for him then I am f***ing disappointed the the club did not even put in a bid, if he was available at that price. His goalscoring stats speak volumes to be honest.

Re: The reaction to cisse

I honestly couldnt give a fuck.

Even if we dont make any signings in the window I have every confidence in MON to continue taking us forward over the remainder of the season, and then push on in the summer.

Told that Papiss Cisse has never been on #SAFC hitlist of potential transfers

Re: The reaction to cisse

I said it in a thread but I'm sure there would be even more of a fuss made about cisse going to Nufc if Bruce was still the manager

At the end of the day it's a big oppituneity missed for us

I love how you start with this, after you've just started a new thread yourself. So incredibly insightful is your opinion that it deserves its own special thread apparently.

Re: Newcastle in talks with Cisse

Newcastle are a much better side than, and shall always beat us to a transfer. I'm afraid that's just how it goes.

But hopefully we bring someone in of Cisse's similar qualities, and not f***ing Zamora.

Bellend. Bellend with the memory of a goldfish no less.

Re: Newcastle in talks with Cisse

Bloody hell there's some dummies being chucked about on here, get a grip FFS.

It's the 17th of January, to date there's only been ONE transfer of any note, it's only the last few days of the window it starts to hot up. If we'd signed someone of note at this stage i'll admit there'd be a part of me thinking "who's set to leave?" so i'm not exactly devastated.

Short's whacked us right back on the football map in they eyes of the press by getting in MON and as said before, if he wants to ride out this season in a comfortable mid-table position and go at it in the summer then i'm more than happy with that.

In MON we trust.

Be lying if I said I wasn't a little excited about this like.

Never seen him play but he seems to know how to put the ball in the net and has done wherever he's played so must be half decent.

Plus he can't be any worse than Shola.

Nee further questions, maggot.

Re: The reaction to cisse

I'd like to see us bring in a striker. I think for that price, he's a good signing. That said, there is no guarantee he'll adapt straight away to the English game, especially without having Pre-Season to acclimatise to the pace of the game. He could be another Ba, but he could also be like the number of players bought in January who haven't managed to do as well

There is bound to be a reaction because it's a player we've been linked with, it's someone a lot of people thought would be just what we need and were quite excited about us signing him.

So not only have those hopes been dashes, to top it off his is signing for Newcastle of all clubs.

So you'd hardly expect a load of posts saying what great news it is, would you?
