I don't get this. He scores 20+ goals in Bundersliga FFS. Of course he may not do that in England, but how about Wickham? We're paying up to 13m on potential. Do you think there are more chances of Wickham becoming a star in the Prem than a striker who scored loads in Germany? Every transfer is much or less of a gamble, but this guy scores more than Ba in Germany and for Senegal.

True and still think that knee story was a fabrication (possibly in light of this).

Either way we won't have got Cisse unless we think his stock is going to rise.

Most likely we surrendered this month's transfer budget on paying off Bruce to allow us to make our most important signing in history in MON.

What has he got to do with Wickham?

He might be good, he might not, we can't sign a player just because they are. If Ba leaves, which I fully expect him to, certainly by the next window then they are back to one striker, who may be duff or may be great, who knows. O'Neill is not interested in him, move on. I don't see the panic.
