The person to blame for this mess is Short I'm afraid, he has invested a lot and we're still in the PL, but the problems all started with his crazy decision-making.

While I think there's some truth here, there are a couple of points I'd take issue with. Firstly, let me say that I agree that Short's management of the club has been very poor and that's partly because he has some very poor people around him like MB as CEO. Di Fanti was a complete disaster and brought in a huge amount of dross on far too much money so I can't argue with that either. In general terms, I'm just not a fan of having a DoF but if we have to follow this path, I'm still undecided about Congerton because the poor guy is still trying to clear up Di Fanti's mess and that will take at least another couple of windows. I understand the view of Di Canio but in his defence, he was saddled with the crap Di Fanti bought and he didn't want. He also managed to spot the problems with the club very quickly and did try to stand up to the lazy fuckwits who are still dragging our club down. If he'd been backed instead of being sold down the river I suspect he would have been quite good.

What good players have you brought in other than Wijnaldum who looked really average v Swansea?One is a cb who could be anywhere between 18-35 and hasn't looked overly clever, a striker whose only contribution so far is being booked with 10 seconds of coming on and another frenchie who made it into the worst ligue 1 team of the season after only scoring an avg on 4.6/10 per game in a far poorer league. Yes you've spent money but I wouldn't say they were 'good' signings .

You've still got an utterly rank defence and one could argue it's worse than ours currently so can't see anything else but another season of struggle for you too

You weren't accepting shit though. Pardew had you lot comfortably mid table without spending much and losing the odd decent player. You lot got exactly what you deserved last season after sacking him.

How comes Palace players haven't being "Pardewed" which I've heard so many of your fans using as an excuse for players being shit

It's barely been half a season, man. Give him time. There's already rumblings with Palace fans on their forums about how he is making 'illogical' substitutions.
