Merino said: "I know it's a great club and a really nice city. I had different options but I think this is the right place for me to play.

 The clubs PR in full swing. The only bit missing is Merino added, "the only down side to this move is that it is too close to the shithole that is Sunderland"

it is a nice city.

tin hit on like.

Imagine getting excited about someone Dortmund are giving up on after 8 games and 1 season
To be fair they are doing what we did trying to convince ourselves some signings were decent, we know how that worked out, hence why we have the views we have, but they ignore because #rafa

Merino's first choice was Athletic club Bilbao but like always, the selling club doubled or tripled their price as they know Athletic can only sign Basque players.

Apparently there are only between 15-20 Basque players playing top flight football around Europe who they could sign.

Their fans are fuming that they haven't signed anyone since Summer 2015 when they signed Raul Garcia.

The club have lost a large potential market having fallen out with Osasuna over Alex Berenguer also!

Might be good might not be, have to trust the manager I suppose, hes another young player with a lot to prove after not really breaking through at Dortmund, but at the end of the day we are nowhere near Dortmund's level so how much does that really matter?

Judging from what I've heard he will take Colbacks position, and I can safely assume that no matter how underwhelming he might end up being, its a definite step up.

Agree with this.

What's the matter with The Ginger Pirlo like??

They'll struggle this year, not impressed with their transfer dealings at all.

Agree as I said earlier in the thread their signings remind me of ours a year ago

They think because they're signing some Dortmund reserve and he's got a fancy name he'll be a wonderkid forgetting the fact Dortmund have bomed him out after 2 starts for them ... Obviously he'll thrive under Rafa though
