Paddy McNair played 24 times for Man Utd if only he was called Pedro McNairldo and we signed him from Dortmund things might've been different

Outrage over Newcastle is a nice city remark. Surely the 'great club' reference provides more ample scope for piss taking?

Merino said: "I know it's a great club and a really nice city. I had different options but I think this is the right place for me to play.

 The clubs PR in full swing. The only bit missing is Merino added, "the only down side to this move is that it is too close to the shithole that is Sunderland"
Until he sees the west end of Newcastle this his opinion will change

As if people are getting worked up over that  Newcastle is a very nice city on the whole man ffs. Nowt to do with the football club.

I bet alot of players who sign for clubs in major cities mention it  dont really see what the issue is with what he has said.
never heard anyone say anything about the city. It isn't just about this one comment, it's everytime someone signs for them. They read from cue cards

On the whole I agree when they go on about all the cliched shite. But saying the city is nice isnt that big a deal imo  certainly not the same levels of shit manquillo etc came out with.

Hows the rafa on the brink of f***ing off thread going.

You lot just keep up the good work of your own. Dont worry about us. Wer shite with a shite manager and every player we sign will be shite.

Imagine if we do sign that Samaras lad you lot wer creaming your knickers over last summer lol
Bricking it  see you next season in the champo scruff bags.

'R'afa 'T'he 'G'reat
Took Ya Doon

Merino is pretty much a young Javi Martinez, comes from the same academy, has same style, plays same position, same physique and both from basque region. So yeah his pinnacle is that high, just needs to kick on. Furthermore before criticising a player it might be worth seeing who keeps him out the team, the deal is a obligation to buy after certain amount of appearances, fairly certain he'll be a success with us judging by his pedigree and what the Dortmund fans say about him
