Mags selling their stadium to themselves

I’ve seen some of them argue they haven’t sold the stadium, can someone explain to me in words of one syllable please.
Corporate finance isn’t my strong point 😄

What a lovely snippet
When you read that bit it’s actually the way smart clubs try to do business. Buy well sell well, unless your Real Madrid etc your gonna have to sell at some point the fact they can’t get their heads around that is baffling. The funny thing is though they spunked most of that great transfer fee from the puuaaaaa raaaat on shite like Wissa I won’t count elanga and wolta just yet as they’re younger players but £50mnon Wissa is dead money buying a 29 year old. If they were well run they’d have made way better strides on the 750m they’ve spent yet here they are 12 th in the league out of everything and having to sell their stadium to make the books look better. If they hadn’t they’d have fell foul to breaching the rules 🤣🤣🤣

They have well they’ve sold the lease hold of I’ve read rightly. So now don’t own the land it’s built on as that’s freemans and now the leasehold of the stadium has been sold so they don’t own that either technically. But they’ve sold it to another pif business so just shifted it around in reality. But if shit went south then Saudi could be right buggers.

Mags painting this as a positive, personally I would be very uncomfortable knowing we just sold out stadium and no longer own it.
Really don’t see how having to sell their stadium lease hold of your stadium to cover making a huge loss is a positive. It’s the sorta stuff they’ve been screaming cartel about for years. They made record incomes, won a cup etc and still had a huge operating loss until they sold their leasehold stadium. And they wonder why they ain’t just spending more and more and more money.

This.

“Joined Big Six in topping £100m of annual commercial revenue”

I bet they can’t wait to put that on a tifo
and only because they've sponsored themselves as no fucker else will pay anywhere near that level of money. sela, noon, plastered everywhere. all owned by the same head choppers, they are just funneling money from one sportswashing division to another.
wouldnt be surprised if its aramco next.

Presumably that is what enabled them to go on their massive £256m spending spree last summer, when they used more than quarter of a billion pounds to bring in Elanga, Thiaw, Ramsey, Woltemade, and Wissa.

At least they didn't waste that one off opportunity to strengthen their squad.
Not to mention 125m sale of Isak

Does this mean that stadium sponsorship revenue now belongs to a different entity?

Can't see any upside in this for the mags. UEFA won't accept it as a genuine arms length transaction, and it just lets the Saudis hold the next buyer to ransom if the new owning entity doesn't get sold along with the club.

I thought if it was proved pif were the owners, the deal to takeover them would be looked at again?
It is in the controlling party note, the final note in the Group Accounts, that PIF are the ultimate owners of NUFC. It was specifically MBS that was the issue, iirc he failed the PL fit and proper test. So PIF/MBS said that's okay MBS has nowt to do with PIF, we will write a letter to the PL explaining this, if the PL finds evidence to the contrary than they can force PIF to sell NUFC. Some time later, MBS used the fact that he is the De-Facto leader of the KSA and therefore also the PIF in order to avoid subpoena to the USA courts over the legal battle with PGA Golf. Whole thing stinks to high heaven and basically a complete joke.
