Mags Giving Away Tickets

Mind you, all of the genuine mags will have tickets.

Let's remind ourselves, it was only just under 6 years ago they gave away 10,000 (ten thousand) season tickets.

Giving away tickets free or cheap to schools is an excellent idea in my view when you have empty seats. We did it ourselves, nothing like 10k and not season tickets but it gets the next generation interested and is good for the clubs.

Giving them away when the ground is over-subscribed is the opposite and taking the piss out of their fans. There would rightly be an outcry on here if we pulled a stunt like that.

They have a point like, as much as I hate them I’d be pissed right off if it was us and kids in the local area couldn’t get a ticket but posh fuckers miles away given a package. It’s funny it’s happening to them on one hand but on the other pushing out local fans for tourists and the like is a horrible trend. Shame they weren’t about when Ashley was giving away season tickets with a sports direct mug.

45 of them to a school in Dundee for the home game against Barcelona.

The peasants are revolting.

They are not giving them away though?????????????

Same people complaining are probably like the ones we had bitching and moaning about us not getting 60,000 wembley tickets despite never going to the SOL.

As good as. Giving them to rich kids for relatively fuck all once you take away the cost of the extras. I mean the aim will be to win extra supporters and therefore more money in the long run.

45 x £ 295 is £ 13,275.

If you think a coach from Dundee and 20 odd rooms with evening meal and breakfast costs that much god knows how much you spend on a holiday.

Even if the rooms were 200 quid and they need 25 thats £5k, how much does a coach cost????????

Still it gives some posters a boner

Some of the replies on Twitter from people who have kids in schools in Scotland would suggest they are free and it's a regular thing.

The "as usual" bit on the letter maybe suggests that, too.

Either way, it's a massive kick in the tits for them lot and long may it continue.

What a bizarre comparison.

Probably more than £295, unless he's going away with 44 other people. For one night. On a coach from Dundee to Newcastle.

Mags will be applying to this university to get free tickets ,£20000 course fee get a chance to win a£295 ticket .

I’m aware Scottish education is superior to the English system, but a private secondary school still doesn’t quite stack up to a University no matter how much they charge.

Need to factor in the staff costs and overhead absorption for organising the trip too. The school no doubt has travel insurance to cover it's trips but the premium will be expensive and needs covering. Probably at least 6 or 7 teachers attending who will need paying for this extra time, most of which is during unsocial hours. These will be highly paid folks.

Tickets could easily be free issue from nufc.

Aye, if it's £15k a year to go there, the teachers are probably doing ok

Aye, and it's not just their basic hourly rate salary to be covered, it's their fully loaded cost including ERS nic + their no doubt considerable pension contributions. Schools like this cost everything up and add in a surplus to the hourly recharges so everything from Fraser's violin lesson to Angus's ski trip is not only covering every bit of cost but making some surplus too.

That's basically it like. I'd not be happy if it was us but it's beyond hilarious solely because it's them wrong uns
