Mags Defence

Major back tracking on your part. The only embarrassment is yourself, if you're gonna' start talking shite at least stick to your guns
No one has said we're out of the woods in this thread to be fair.
And of course we need work.
I don't see how that means we can't criticise the obvious weaknesses in the mag's defence or their transfer policy.
There's always someone on a thread who can't just shut up and allow people to slag the mags off. It's always, "but Sunderland are crap too"
Odd.

And we have 0 clean sheets since the new lads came in...

I'm as happy as anyone about the results but a major reality check is needed if you think we are out of the woods.
I never said anything of the sort

Keep digging

He's showing himself up a lot here

This. I said it at the time and others did but too many were wanking over their signings and them splashing the cash.

TBF Shelvey can do it but isn't consistent and Townsend has something but again isn't at all consistent or proven. Adding those may help them pull out of things, but not adding to their defence and relying on who they have in their defensive positions will mean it's a close run thing. They bought in positions they didn't really need to address, whereas at least we strengthened the main areas we needed to desperately address, barring maybe a right back - which we may already have here.
Exactly I was delighted they didn't sign a decent defender, we at least tried to strengthen where we needed to strengthen, I'm aware we lost the transfer window but I think, while admittedly early days, we look like we have done much better business

Who is their usual left back and how long is he out for ?

If they continue to play Aarons there , they will get relegated.

If I was Tufty , I would play Colback instead of Aarons - at least he can defend ( well sort of ...)

That late injury to janmaat may be worse than it looked too

You said we were 'sorted'

I dared to disagree and offer a differing standpoint and you appear to have pissed your nappy.
Ffs I'll type it one last time for you. Please pay attention.

We brought in defenders. We needed defenders. What more do you think we should have done?

I hope it sticks this time

My original point was that our defence could quite easily see us relegated aswell, I wasn't attacking nor defending us or the mags, I was merely making a point. I also pointed out the facts that we are still one of the worst teams for conceding goals and we need major work. A poster stated that we were 'sorted' and I pointed out that is quite clearly not the case in the fact that we have not kept a clean sheet in THIRTEEN games.

Yet you still haven't addressed your comment that we were 'sorted'

Coloccini and Taylor have already relegated the mags once. You'd think they'd have got the message by now and replaced them. 7 years after the last relegation, the pair of those jokers are still in their defence!
