There's no need for it really, I mean I love taunting them and taking the piss but I would never lower myself down to violence. It always amazes me how grown men can act in this way. It's 1 thing taking the piss and calling them all the names under the sun but to knock the ***** out, come on. If I'm man enough to take a defeat on the chin when they beat us I don't see why others can't.

It's not about taking the defeat. I can do that no problem. But i'm not going to start chanting , taking the piss and being agressive towards anyone just because they support the scum. If no one stood up to them and they thought they could take the piss then they would. There would be a few hundred come through every derby day just looking for a fight and to cause trouble because they would know that nothing would happen to them. You need to stand up to them and even get violent if necessary because if you don't it could be a bunch of kids or someone who can't handle themselves that they start with next time. Most of the time their arses fall out anyway like they did with the lads on the train. They just sat down when we said get off the train then, so we left them too it but I don't think they are likely to be mouthing off again anytime soon because we put the shits up them. If we just walk away taking it or whatever then they will just think they can get away with it.

I'm not saying go looking for it or anything like that because that is f***ing stupid but f***ing stand your ground and show them that Sunderland aren't there for the taking if they come looking or obviously want to start something.

I'm not bothered about lads wanting to do this sort of thing on a match day as long as they don't hit shirts.

Newcastle fans use to run us ragged back in the day and take massive liberties and would continue to do this now if our lads hadn't got a bit of a following together in the 80's and we then started to look after ourselves.

I don't see the problem, in any walk of life if I took the piss out of someone, then offered them out, then get battered, I'd probably look back on it and think I deserved that.

I am one of those that avoids trouble and criticizes those that glorify in hooliganism. However, like most people I am a hypocrite, because if we did not those in our ranks that can meet violence with violence, I would of had my pacifist head kicked in quite a few times. The price of this hypocracy is to let the hoolies get on with it and say nowt.

Its just one of those ugly truths i'm afraid.

How is it hypocritical to allow one guy who wants the chance to beat the shit out of someone to go off with another guy who also wants the same chance?

If they wore shorts and were in a ring we'd pay to watch, and if they wore leathers and used Vaseline we'd ask "who are we to judge?"

Sadly I witnessed a Plymouth fan murdered at Swindon when I was a young lad. Then it puts it into perspective. By all accounts he was a well know trouble maker but being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time can happen to anyone.

Atmosphere, banter great but when innocents get caught out there is no right I am afraid. Mags or Poxford just don't register with me.

class post it also winds the the mags right up that we have a lot of support in mag areas hebburn jarrow ashington ect .the thing with sunderland is get a winning team that has the odd bit of success and a lot of people from outside sunderland area who maybe cant be bothered with the travelling ect would be back .our fan base is all over the uk .for a team thats won fuck all thats remarkable lads living all over its passed on to sons and daughters so cycle continues .sunderland in europe for a champions league or any competitive game that would be interesting .i reckon we would take huge numbers without a doubt

On the way home (I live in Hebburn) was just about to get off the metro at around 8pm. A few lads further down the carriage knew we were Sunderland fans (we being me and my dad) and started singing dirty mackem bastards and similar stuff to us. So as we pulled into the station we just walked down and said, right you two, off the train now, they f***ing shot back down next to their girlfriends and went white. They didn't speak another word and it was their girlfriends who were telling us to just go away. They are all spineless bastards. The driver got out and took us away but for the way they were looking at us and thinking they were high and mighty I really really wanted them to get off the train.

If that makes me a horrible twat or whatever then so be it but i'm not taking shit for supporting a football club that I love and certainly not from arsehole mags who think they can take the piss. The lads who were singing at us were the same as every mag i've ever met like them, all mouth and very little action and in part it's thanks to the fact that we have enough lads who are willing to shut them up that they don't come through and take the piss because the wankers would if they could.

If anyone wants to think i'm some kind of thug for offering them out then so be it but they aren't taking the piss out of my club like that, being aggressive towards us and shouting howay down the train without getting a response. It could quite easily have been a few teenager Sunderland fans who might have taken a clip becuase they were too young to fight back. Fuck them all and if any of them come looking for it then they are only getting what they deserve.
