Right... I'm putting this on here as I remember one lad putting his derby dreams on here and they came true. The lad put 3-0 johnson anytime for the di canio derby and even described the johnson goal before the game.

Anyway at the end of last season I had a vivid dream that we beat them 2-0 at their place with Borini rounding the keeper for the second. At this point Borini was at Liverpool so I thought nowt of it, but when we signed him I thought I'm defo ganna put that bet on.
The other night I had the same dream... First goal was a header, second was a late Borini goal where he rounded the keeper, slotted it home and did his celebration looking up to the sunderland fans.

It's ganna happen...

There you go.
Tbf, folk on that thread derided reiver about thinking we will win the Derby.
There will be posters who post their confidence, but in my experience, most on here don't think we will win.
The thread you highlighted has fans saying you've bought well and will stay up and we will go down like. Ruins your argument a bit :)

Not particularly, the poster asked for an example of a Sunderland fan having confidence about the derby and I supplied it. The other points you raise don't come into what he asked.

I'm never confident about winning a Derby, I did think that as long as Pardew was there we had a decent chance because the pressure on him to win them was massive and I'm guessing that pressure was felt by the players.
When he left I thought maybe the pressure had left with him, now I'm wondering if the pressure is on the club as a whole and not just on one man.
I'll still be hiding next Derby day, I hate them while they are being played, because I always expect the worst.
