We also used to have Diva who would steady the innings at the top. The current opening two are never going to be there for long so its a constant repair job for 3, 4 and 5.

With the rumours of the financial situation I cant see us bringing in top quality anytime in the next few years so to be 2nd in the league at this stage is remarkable.

I agree - Durham are doing tremendously and rather than pick faults as we often do we should embrace the fact that the club are doing remarkably well. In fact any season Durham stay up is a decent achievement.

at the risking of ruining it all i think thats canny harsh on rocky, he's no trescothik but he has played some important innings for us over the last few years and is making progress with his career
 
There was always going to be something in the wicket first up at Scarborough, but we double berked them by sending in our top order in as cannon fodder, leaving the bowlers free to have a bat later. Take that you Yak bastards.

Excellent stuff from Stoneman (and Plunkett) - it feels like we won the session because of the way we recovered. Had we been 100-0 and then ended up 117-3, it would have felt like they'd won the session. Funny game cricket.
