Yep - all down to our dodgy home grounds that we won the title. They may have been results pitches but surely that applies for both teams? Durham handled it well enough at Liverpool.

We only played one game at Blackpool, assume you meant Liverpool? We had one draw there, same number as we had at all our away games atTest quality grounds:

Home form:
Won 5, Drew 1, Lost 2

Away for:
Won 5, Drew 1, Lost 2

You may have noticed the development work at Old Trafford and the square being turned around - could have been a few more results on those pitches had we opted to play there!

An ''unfair advantage'' at best, at worse damn right cheating

Can you imagine Durhams attack on a club green top in Durham

The reason why we beat you was because our seam attack is better than yours.

I honestly dont believe you were the best side in county cricket, thats the sad thing and the result is tainted IMO

Fair enough, I'm not going to be able to change your viewpoint am I? For comparison, how was your away from as that's about the only thing we can do to compare? We still won 5 games away from home at the following venues: Edgbaston, Rose Bowl, Trent Bridge, Headingly, Taunton. I think that shows we were able to win in all conditions.

We did have largely the same team - I guess the young batsmen were better for a season's experience, we kept Chapple fit most of the season and the weather held out for the last couple of games where without those wins we'd have come 3rd.

Your seam attack probably is stronger, certainly more depth there. Our last couple of wins were largely down to the spinners.

The reason why you had so many away wins was the confidence derived from knowing you win most of your home games as conditions are alien to most other sides

How many games went the full 4 days at home out of interest

You should have been docked points for a poor pitch when we played you

Our final home game went to the wire – 4 minutes left so that one stood up well. Couldn’t tell you about the others without going back and checking. And I’m not going to do that (now at least) as I’m heading out of the offie. Have a good weekend!
