LVCC - Notts v Durham

I think it's because he doesn't normally get that "big score"

12 hundreds in 424 innings in all formats would back that up

So, what's that? 1 hundred in every season he has played for Durham?

Yeah but he has been excellent in the sorter stuff for over a year now.

10o from 102, congratulations Gordon.

Muchall 100 in 102 balls, 16 fours and 1 six. Wonderful batting. Delighted to see him proving folk wrong. If he gets 1,000 FC runs for the season I'll make an official apology thread.

195-3. 33 runs to avoid the follow on ;)

Muchall has never been short on ability, his career should be looked upon as a disappointment given his talent, but sounds like a great century today against a very strong bowling attack.

Well done Gordon, such a frustrating player because you know there is a batsman there, such a struggle at times. Cracking knock though.

I know what you mean, maybe he is now more clearer as to what his role in the team is?

what defines his talent if he had that much he wouldn't have a poor record

takes more than 1innings to do that mind good to see shame we wont have a chance to win this game

Averages just under 30 having played half his games at the Riverside where you are generally happy enough to make 250 in the first innings. Not saying his record is amazing but there have never been too many "run machines" at Durham. Only the likes of Benkenstein and Di Venuto have managed good numbers over a sustained period for the club.

Stokes 51 from 68 balls with 9 fours. We should be able to get maximum batting points here. Be a disaster if we don't actually!!

250-3 :D

If these two keep going at this rate we will have all but wiped out the lead by the time they take the new ball.

250 up and second batting point secured.

Lancashire have a lead of 82 on Yorkshire after first innings. Still looking like a draw is favourite there though.

Tea - 252-3. Muchall 119*, Stokes 53*.

Stokes c Lumb b Patel 61. 264-4.

If we can get to 400 tonight, we may just make it a bit tricky for Notts tomorrow...... Although I think more rain is due.

Excellent knock from Muchall, the lad deserves nothing but praise for his efforts today.

Muchall gets a life on 123. Read misses a stumping chance. The lads are 304-4. Worrying though is the fact that the umpires are looking at the light. With the new ball due in two overs they may think it isn't bright enough for real pace.
