LVCC - Durham v Yorkshire

I note that only 3 of our batsmen have made double figures. Poor effort.

Looks like Sky telly will ultimately get the exciting finish they wanted. We'll follow on and we will now try and hang on like grim death for a draw.

Such a good innings then he does that..
Chasing a batting point ?

Be fair, he's scored 148 and allowed a brainfart

Hardly a bad day....

One more to go against tiring bowlers

I'm going to suggest that the players have got stage fright playing in front of the telly cameras. I'll also make a sweeping statement that whenever we are on live telly we by and large perform poorly.

I mentioned that yesterday, we do seem to perform badly on the telly more often than we perform well.

Decent day for us that though, 7 wickets lost and 3 batting points scored. Most of the batsmen will have much to prove second time around but Rocky and Richo showed how simple batting can be with grit and patience. Especially impressed with Richo. Fantastic innings.

12 wickets to defend tomorrow, hopefully the tail can keep them out for a bit of time tomorrow and when we do follow on I'd like to see us just playing a proper innings. The sooner we start making a lead the better and by that points runs effectively count double.

Quite satisfied actually with that. The lads showed plenty of fight and if they can replicate that tomorrow we'll be alright.

Ha'way Durham.

Need to get at least 10 overs used up tomorrow. Weather might save them but our scorecard is very lopsided. Take out the two big scores and only Colly and the two in now have crept into double figures.

Aye, some poor performances. If it wasn't for Rocky and Richo we'd be proper fucked.

Agree with the 10 overs thing, the longer we can frustrate them the better. Plus they'll lose 2 (hopefully 3) overs for the change of innings. Rain forecast for the middle of the day too.

Hopefully Yorkshire's dawdling on Day 2 will come back to bite them on the arse.

It's been a tough 3 days and so far we've been second best in every department, poor umpiring, combined with some loose bowling and dropped catches on day one didn't help.

It's unlikely the follow on will be avoided, if we can frustrate them for at least 14 overs that would be a big bonus.

Sangakkara to come good second innings?

Batting conditions look worse, but there could be showers this afternoon
