great to see diva get a good score to shut up some "experts" who have pulled him to bits recently.

Fair play to him for runs today so far, would still like to see him put a few together now as has been struggling for a while.

Although none of the batsmen are exempt from similar criticism.

Diva was "past it" according to some on here last season.

Good first session that 128-0

232-1 great start!!

Noticed one of the Umps is Martin Saggers ex Durham.

232-2 now Stoneman run out.

Playing at taunton the flattest pitch around. 232 for 1 and 27 not out, you are trying to prove you can convert those sort of scores into something substantial and you get run out.

What a tit

Didn't expect you to make that comment!

Smith gets to our first hundred of the season, then gets out.

266 for 3 off 70 overs.

It mightn't have even remotely been his fault.

 I know and as pointed out it might not even have been his fault. Crucial for him though. He went into last season knowing it was make or break, spent most of it injured and finished the season well without proving anything one way or the other. There are no better chances of scoring masses of runs if you are well set at Taunton and it is a big opportunity squandered.

Easlily our best single day of the CC season so far, still was hoping for 400+ after the start we had. Might persuade the Mrs on her day off to enjoy a 2hr drive up to Taunton on Thursday if it keeps going this way

Agree about it being easily out best day but that's only due to some of some awful displays previously. What worries me and also pisses me right f***ing off is that in the final session we were 89-6. Meaning we will now struggle to make 400, when we should have pissed 500!

The commentators couldn't believe it and I don't think Vic Marks thought Somerset had a prayer at Tea. Whereas at Close the commentators were talking of Somerset looking to get a first innings lead.

I remain optimistic as always that we can win it but I fear that the final session of play may have just given all the momentum to the home side. One things for sure, a Somerset win should have been out of the equation. We could have sauntered to say 370-5 at Close and batted Somerset out of the game.

Being 230/1 and having 2 of your top 4 run out when well set hasnt helped :-(

We're doing alright here. Batting paradise and they are 6 wickets down. Keep it going lads.
