This should be good. I've got the popcorn and beer ready in anticipation of his response.
Still waiting I see? How's the popcorn and beer lasting? When it does kick off do you want to mention that the Counties of Middlesex and Surrey play in London and very rarely venture into the counties they are named after .....? Just a thought like

Been out all day at the match.

Just don't agree with it, never have, never will.

Eh? The old county borders of Middlesex & Surrey include London. Its the same as DCCC playing at Gateshead Fell, Sunderland, Hartlepool & Stockton.:lol::lol:

The point being, that if Lancashire don't play in their county i.e Old Trafford now being in Greater Manchester, then the same applies for Surrey and Middlesex who play at the Oval and Lord's which are within Greater London.

I notice there hasn't been any mention of Durham CCC playing a game in Northumberland recently ........

The point is invalid though. Old Trafford is within the old Lancs county border. As Edgbaston is within the old Warks boundaries.

I will not however, be mentioning that Derbyshire play games in Staffordshire again the utter, utter bastards
I dare say money determines many things in the professional game ...... but there's no way I'd travel to Cumbria to watch a Durham home game ...... unless it was crucial of course .....
