Starts Tuesday at 10.30am.

Last weeks win has done wonders for our Division One survival, a positive haul of points here wouldn't hurt either. Really hotting up in the relegation battle mind:

1Yorkshire1471642390.0223.0
2Nottinghamshire1464445360.0197.0
3Warwickshire1464437370.0190.0
4Somerset1442835360.0175.0
5Sussex1344533320.0154.0
6Middlesex1344531322.0150.0
7Durham1333733340.0150.0
8Lancashire1435624360.0138.0
9Northants13010323260.064.0

Other games involved:
Sussex v Lancashire
Warwickshire v Northants

I reckon one win from now would probably be enough for us - Lancashire have the most to worry about and they'll likely need two wins from their last two. Could see Sussex preparing an absolute featherbed to deny Lancashire any chance of forcing a result, thus allaying their own relegation fears.

Middlesex will be weakened as Ireland play this week v Scotland with Murtagh and Stirling likely to be involved. We'll probably be missing MacLeod but he'd probably be making way for Colonel anyway.

edit edit: sadly i can't see breesy playing. wonder if they will give a go to buckley again after his rather failed match against lancashire...

hard to call that. i'd go muchall & breese to miss out..

stoneman, jennings, borthwick, richardson, stokes, collingwood, mustard, hastings, coughlin, rushworth, chase

although i could easily see breese coming in for coughlin/chase to give the attack more variety. breese for chase would keep us batting down to 10 which we seem to love atm and still give us 4 seamers and 2 spinners and 2 part timers in jet/colly...

Colly wins the toss and elected to bat.

Durham: Stoneman, Jennings, Borthwick, Richardson+, Stokes, Collingwood*, Mustard, Muchall, Hastings, Rushworth, Chase

Middlesex: Rogers*, Robson, Malan, Morgan, Dexter, Simpson+, Stirling, Rayner, Roland-Jones, Murtagh, Finn.

Well have won the toss and will bat first v on pitch number 16, 49 yards from the Tavern Stand boundary.

Middlesex happy to play for a draw?

Looking at the table I don't see why Middlesex would be happy to play for a draw as they have the same points and games played as we do. Lancs only have two games left and would need to win at least one of those to stand any chance. If they beat Sussex in this game then Sussex are also in the mix as they only have 4 points more than Middlesex and ourselves.

The way I see it is if Lancs fail to win both games then we will probably be safe on bonus points and a draw somewhere.
