LVCC D1 - Durham v Sussex

Well looking at that you could add another 4 wks in the first 30 minutes tomorrow, due to the 10.30 start, the usually very seamer friendly CLS wicket and fresher bowlers.
I now find myself in the sad situation of hoping that the odious Hamilton-Brown can score a century, ;)................... on reflection a very good day for you chaps.

I think it's fair to say we slightly edged Day 1, on the basis that batting in the morning is usually quite tough at CLS.

Wells is dangerous mind, so if we can shift him and the night-watchman early we're in business!

Still slightly worried about Claydon and Arshad having to bowl a lot of overs mind. Benny is still very new to the side and Claydon hasn't exactly set the world alight in Divison Two.

We shall see though, hope I'm proved wrong (again ;)).

Another misleading headline.

with the 10:30 start it would be a big disappointment not to get the NWM plus at least 2 more before lunch tomorrow. we've seen it so many times before this season where we have got less than 300 to start and got a first innings lead, no reason there can't be a repeat Wednesday.

Al things considered we are about even I'd say. But if Bunny gets a rest and nicks one or two out early on we could be right among them. This has happened plenty already this season so maybe .....

Really disappointed that established players like Mustard and Colly couldn't hang around at all and grind some runs out.
Pleased with Arshad and Mitch's contribution with the bat and Mitch knocking the timbers over.
Sorry Rushy didn't get a wicket he was solid and aggresive and gave nowt away.
He is such a wholehearted trier. Hopefully he can knock some over in the morning

Regarding Rushy, Marty was saying he beat the bat of Wells so many times early on and was very unlucky not to take a wicket.

Regarding Stoneman, he's currently on 886 Championship runs this season.

No mean effort from Rocky, and he should now make that 4 figures

Its funny how the top 3 are always criticised for not getting runs yet out of the 9 (I think) championship hundreds by Durham Rocky and Borthwick have 6 of them.

They've only just stopped being slagged off for making 250 first innings at the riv

Woke up to dew on the ground this morning and a mist. Hopefully that will just juice up the wicket nicely for our bowlers!

I'd take 150-6 at Lunch like.
