Anyone think we could see a possible contrived result? Seeing how a draw may not help either side very much??

FWIW, I wouldn't be too generous. Nor I think will Colly. I think it's a case of playing our game and not worrying what Yorkshite are doing because it's out of our control.

We are 44/0. Stoneman has come out with a positive attitude. Three 4's off that last over.

Stoneman gone for 30.

On the plus side, looks like the Yorkies might not get maximum batting points given their scoring rate....

Me and my big mouth. He's just been caught for 30. 49/1 - let's hope we don't lose any more tonight.

Ouch[DOUBLEPOST=1379004460][/DOUBLEPOST]Just bat out these fuckers now pls

Fuck sake.

Don't think the lad is the answer to our opening problems mind. Would like to see us look to invest in that area over the winter to be fair.

That's not to say there isn't a place in the team for Jennings.

Smith to open?

Smith to open?

Don't think he's the answer either. Plus he had a go there already and didn't think he justified staying there. That said, he's had a decent season this year.

For me, we should look to either bring someone in OR is Borthwick worth a dig??

Borthwick seems to be doing well there. Our top scorer in fact  so I wouldn't bugger about too much with him. Could look a bit Richardson higher up the order.

Prolly worth giving Muchall a try [DOUBLEPOST=1379005473][/DOUBLEPOST]phew, that must be it?[DOUBLEPOST=1379006043][/DOUBLEPOST]yep, better day than yesterday

Scoring at a decent rate, one decent partnership should see us in a lead

Isn't there talk of him only getting a one day contract? I take it were ruling out Benks returning?

I am happy with that tonight. Been a good day for us. Most important thing for me is how we bat tomorrow as if we can get the bonus points then we take Derby out of the game and bag a minimum of 11 points from the game. We would also possibly set ourselves up to win.

Weather watch - as things currently look.......

We may lose a tomorrow but Day 4 looks fine.

As for , tomorrow looks like constant showers, so they may not get on. Perhaps at best they might lose two sessions. As for Day 4, they could lose a session in the afternoon.[DOUBLEPOST=1379011043][/DOUBLEPOST]As for the match, we just have to bat. As ICBYD says, one decent partnership should ensure us a lead and with our batting depth we should look to play some shots and aim for a lead by Tea. If we can get a lead, any kind of lead, we can put pressure on them late tomorrow or on Day 4 to force a win.

After seeing the weather I feel better about our chances and Sussex' draw chances. If Yorkshire don't win, there's no real need for us to take any daft risks. Yorkshire look unlikely to get 5 batting points but I definitely wouldn't rule it out. As for us, I'd take 3 batting points, anything else would be great but owt above 300 gets us the lead.
