Pressure behind Derbyshire: Surrey just lost their 1st wicket and are still 44 behind Somerset. Hamish in[DOUBLEPOST=1379070094][/DOUBLEPOST]Hamish caught behind for a duck - it'll be a nervous lunchtime for Derby

Our 'awful' top order, looks like 2 of them are gonna make it to 4 figures

Add one more solid player, and the future's bright

Is there a website with the 1st class runs? The BBC only has LVCC runs.

I always preferred this as its a bit misleading to see a lad averaging 40 even though his only score over 60 has been a 250 against Leeds/Bradford Uni!!

Suppose Test runs could be included though!

On another note surely Borthwick is now a shoe in for the Lions tour, even just for his batting. 1000 championship runs in Division 1, with half your games at the Riverside (and batting 3) is a remarkable achievement!

What's also interesting is that they have scored that many runs, yet we average less then 3 batting points per game. That's less than 300 runs. It has felt like a poor season batting wise, but do we perform better in the second innings?

Generally how the Riv plays innit, yes

Quite a few grounds seem to have been like that this summer

The highlight of the season by a mile. We know we can bowl, the bats have been a massive improvement.

Let's not rewrite history - up until 3 or 4 games ago, there were huge problems with our top order. No-one was making runs, Stoneman and Smith were walking wickets and the number 3 slot was a massive problem. They have picked themselves up remarkably well but we need to strengthen.

I've been using cricinfo. Has Borthwick down as only 914 runs.

Shiv over before lunch

Few too many liberties taken there I guess
