*~*~* Luton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

There must’ve been some absolutely horrific tackles in the Norwich v Hull game earlier this season mind - this ref, the one doing our game tonight and letting Luton do whatever the fuck they want, gave out 8 yellows during the Norwich-Hull massacre (I assume)

People twisting about luton's style - incorrect. We look absolutely clueless and weak as piss all over the park.

Rigg out wide - horrendous call from regis.
We look like a rabbit in the headlights.

Miracle if we get out of here with anything
The vast majority of the people on here thought it was a great move before KO. Football is very easy in hindsight.

No we haven’t. They’ve had plenty of opportunities and - despite what some posters are now trying to invent about “the player in the middle” - they’ve scored a perfectly good goal.
Wa correctly offside not for the scorer but other bloke in middle. He first of all stood on Patto, the ran out and tried to head ball and only narrowly missed it. That’s interfering with play so correctly offside.

That Scottish commentator is clueless or an ex Luton player.

We haven’t defended well. We’ve frequently given it away in our own third as players have shat themselves every time they’ve been closed down. They’ve hit the bar twice and had one chalked off incorrectly IMO
agreed, the defending and the possession/decision making in the final 3rd (including the Gk) hasn't been good at all.

Change in shape maybe? Don't really have too much on the bench that will be able to affect this game though. Maybe Conolloy and Isidor as two up front, add another body into midfield? I don't know what else we can do really except move the ball better in possession and toughen up.

Is it just me, or is the pitch way smaller than the SoL? Don't have room to breathe.

Another pacy option on the right and stretch them in behind.

Wouldn't change shape, think we'll just get overloaded out wide.
