*~*~* Luton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Aye I hate it when they aren't given, those type. I'd genuinely be saying the same if it was us. Anyone that's played the game knows it.
Not sure about that, when I played the game (albeit 20 years ago) that would be able been offside every day of the week.

Rigg was a mistake tonight, it’s the epitome of men against boy, get an older head on and maybe throw Connolly on or paddy. Rigg is brilliant but f***ing foden would struggle against these especially with a ref who isn’t giving any protection against these big bastards

Worrying half there like.

I get that we're trying to draw them onto us and then play through, but our midfield three aren't at the races tonight.

We need Jobe, Neil and Browne to take the risk and turn their man. It's too easy for their midfield to stay touch tight on them and bully us back into our own third.

Games like this swing on taking your chances. Dan Neil has got to do better with his chance. We are incredibly lucky to be 0-0 not withstanding a shocking offside call.

Stop playing it around at the back, stop playing into middle pockets of the pitch where our players are facing our own goal. It’s suicide the man receiving the ball only has one way to go and it’s back towards our goal, only takes a dodgy touch or a referee call not going our way and they are in. Happened time and time again.

Get the ball out of the centre and slide it down the sides of them, get them turned to buy yourself some yards and play in their half. It’s f***ing simple.
Ball falls to anyone else and it's a goal, Neil really isn't good going forward
