Luke O'Nien

Basically said he wasn't the best player but got in the team because he was a teachers pet. Came across as quite bitter, anyway think Luke has proved him wrong.
Bitter cos Luke was embraced by fans and is now a legend here. Whereas he is forgotten and a distant memory.

Everything Luke got he did through hard work. When you have Granit Xhaka saying how important you are to the team you know you've made it.

I remember being impressed with how well he improved himself in the first couple of years, but he done 100 minutes today against the club world Cup champions and didn't put a foot wrong vs players that are valued at £100m+
Baffles me that they paid over 200m for caicedo and enzo
Our 2 equivalents (Xhaka and Sadiki) gave us change from 30m

Apart from his red card away to Man City?
Arsenal player did exactly the same tackle against a Burnley player yellow carded, went to VAR nothing to see. Where as play for Sunlun its a red card.

A bad memory at that,

Funny how those that fail or never aspire to more call those that do work hard and put in the extra work teachers pets...

We all know the people who do it to suck up etc... but Luke never comes across like that, he's just making the most of every opportunity, and he's done amazingly well for himself, fair play to him.

Tom Flanagan

Its from 3 years ago but its an amazing video and I smiled throughout it all. There's one quote in particular that stood out.

Well luke you were spot on and you are here and a huge reason for us being where we are now.
Its been emotional since Sunday.

The bit where he's recalling the birth of his daughter got me.

Lovely fella. Lovely story
