The price of a ticket is the cost of dreaming the big dream.
Don't think I'll ever win but for £2.50 I can dream it might happen and what I would do.
If I didn't buy a ticket then I couldn't even have that dream, so it's worth the money imo.

Thing is they could reduce the jackpot by half and offer higher prizes lower down and the dream would still be there.
As soon as they increased the number of numbers.... I stopped playing. More chance of discovering a millionaire reletive has left her estate without a will and im the only reletive

You're right of course but there's not a thing we can do about changing the rules, so you can not play or play and dream, either is correct but I choose to play and dream.
It's only one line with numbers related to our family. It's like buying a £1 scratchcard instead of £30 worth of scratchcards, its just a small punt at a big prize, nothing serious.

Won £88 million on the Euromillions three years ago but haven’t had as much as a tenner since. Going to stop as I’m just wasting money.

The amount of times I get an email from them saying “you’ve won a prize” and I start spending millions in my head, only to see the account say I’ve won £2.40 or something shit from the euromillions is ridiculous.

The reason they keep the lower prizes so low is because they need people to keep playing. If more people keep winning bigger sums then they stop playing.

.In 2013, I had 5 numbers on the national lottery, won £257 or thereabouts FFS. Having said that I have/would still put it on every so often but I’m pretty skint at the moment so haven’t bothered for a while.
I came across something about the odds for the EuroMillions, just googled again

Please correct me if I’m wrong. Say you did the euro, two draws each week, would be those odds halved

Divide that by 52 (years) = 1’344’598
Divide that by 2 the average amount of time to bag the jackpot = 627’299 YEARS (on average) unless I’m calculating wrong, of course you could win next week or you could wait 1’344’598 years
Would be class if someone off here won a decent amount.

Are you sure? If I remember the bidding process, Richard Branson's was aimed more towards more and smaller prizes but that was relegated behind Camelot who pushed the idea that bigger jackpots that would attract more people.

Perfect reason to make sure you do lucky dips rather than the same numbers week in, week out.
Lass I work with had that happen to her mother in the national lottery, her mother asked her to check the numbers, they had them all, everyone in the room went nuts apart from mam....
If you can win 50-60 mill on the lotto why put the euros on, plus it's cheaper
