Look North/Tyne Tees Coverage ***Europa League Special***

You spend a lot of time on here though … ;)
I do yes.
In all honesty I think it's decent.
I like the 'word games' etc on parsnip, and there's always interesting threads on the SMB bit too.

It doesn't have to be about 'rivalry' imho - obviously my views aren't always popular on here, but only cos I see things from a different point of view

Yes we need a different view. I usually agree with you!

But this weekend, our match was the biggest sporting event in the region. If there’s a population of e.g. 2.5M then of that Teesside is about 0.5M?

Hence tyne-wear derby more relevant to more people?

Fair comments 👍.
Admittedly, I used to see both Newcastle and Sunderland as 'rivals' when I was younger (I grew up in the days of crowd trouble), but I really couldn't be arsed with all that now - I'm too old 😟.

For what it's worth, I do enjoy reading your comments

Thank you it’s appreciated.

Even the wife said, they’ve put more minutes in for a pre match non league game.
It’s an absolute piss-take.

The absence of even mentioning that the ref had to stop the match on Sunday is outrageous.

I mean, I know Dawn couldn’t do a live OB from the SoL because she wouldn’t be heard over the abuse, but that’s her own fault for being such a blatant wind-up merchant.

(I would really like to see how she reacted to camera as there was a chorus of ‘fishy-knickers’ and ‘wart-face’ from the crowd behind her!).

Of course it means nothing to Boro fans

Dunno who or what all that is tbh (my eyes aren't great).
I can only say stuff from my (and folk I know) point of view.
Yes, it's a big game to both Sunderland and Newcastle fans (obviously), but I don't see why you'd expect our fans to be overly interested when you play each other - especially while neither of you are in the same league as us.

Reckon they've stretched that out on purpose to take the piss and say they're not bothered by all of our complaints.
It was like watching a Sky Sports super Sunday.
More likely they’ve not yet read all of the complaints, let alone thought of a reasonable response.

The regional teams have to report to national stakeholders and the board.
Anyone any ideas of how to get them to raise this complaint, they must think they are untouchable.
Just google ‘BBC Complaint’. It’s an internal form and is simple to complete.
