Friday & Saturday nights around these parts also carried a better chance in the places that I was at with a band on......or so I was told by those that had been part of "the turn"

Lived in Hebburn for a few years in the late 90s/early 00s, and had some decent nights in Martha's (think it's a Mambo restaurant now??)

Where a rat would come in the open back door and would be chased out by cooking staff armed with kitchen utensils [as witnessed by a friend]

In Every Sunday for the turn then off to Dougies.

Cheap pints with pals, family and neighbours etc
On any Sunday, I’d be in the concert room, my da in the bar and my ma in the Kerry lounge.
Great place.
