LON playing out from back

Happy to hold my hands up and say I was wrong about Luke (again). He has his flaws, always very worried if he’s in an aerial duel in our box, but he was sublime yesterday. So so happy for the lad.

It’s true …. I stood up for him but didn’t think I would see him playing the way he has … incredible
He has an outstanding attitude and work ethic, and of course some sublime skill at playing football, both mind and body. People can deny it all they want, they do their talking about Luke from behind a computer, Luke does his talking on the pitch.

He proved them wrong in L1.
He proved them wrong in the Championship.
He proved them wrong in the PL playing against world class players.

They'll never admit it but prefer to dig in and scrutinise every mistake he makes.
I hope he's here next season and plays in Europe. He's earned this, and I think he's amazing.

Well done Luke, you're a perfect role model for youngsters starting out in football. Just look how far you've come!

Absolutely delighted that it all came together for him to play in that massive game to make up for going off injured in the playoff final.

It’s like it was the match he’s been waiting for. Excellent performance in a team of lads who step up when the pressure’s on.

He pinged a few diagonals with his left foot that were lush, very much like last season.

The ball he passed to trai on the right who then set ELF away for the shot he had in the first half was quality, we were under a bit of pressure at that moment.

Looked at his best since he's come into the team again.
