Sorry pal I was just reading the thread as I noticed the 18s had been published, never mind! Looks heavily a squad weighted to the top six again

Sad part is those selected who are not from the top six will end up at those clubs if they developed well.

I think this generation are more influenced by pop culture than previous ones, SkySports, Fifa games with their mates etc and end up idolising those ideas rather than the local hero concept.

Perhaps it was his dream to play for Sunderland but the mess of the academy has possibly made lads look elsewhere to get the best possible development.
