What do you reckon of the chances this year then? I'm going to pop round at some point in the season when i am back up visiting. I'll come and introduce meself. I'm sure there are still some old faces around i know. I take it the bar is still open during matches then?

dont know mate but one thing we have some old heads who have played at the top levels over the years mixed with unpredictable teens who knows whats ahead now i know how [ hirshy ] felt in the 70 80s bringing us through in the senior league - egos - tempers - huffs - drinking - women - head strong - he dealt with all this will i at silky time will tell seem a canny bunch my veiw so far is we will match most then see where results take us cheers mate ,,new bar new set up ..

CLS CC will be no more than mid table this season would be my take on it. the side has basically been broken up and they are rebuilding.

Think a lot a Chester will depend on the replacements for Cess and AJ.

Theres still runs in the team and have a fantastic captain in Q. Wickets could be the problem but I don't know yet who they have signed for the new season.

Could be a good year to "blood" a couple of the good younguns.

Q's brother has been signed along with Benny (Uzman Arshad) from the Durham Academy (also given a development contract by them). They've also signed a wicket keeper from Sunderland. I think they might have signed a couple of others.

Q's a cracking captain and a nice lad.

Well as this is about predictions here goes;

NEPL Premier will be either South North or Blaydon, C-L-S as has been said are rebuilding plus not being able to play home games will cause some difficulties as well Sunderland seem to have lost a number of players over the last year and I dont know how their replace ments will fair.

NEPL Divsion 1 this will be a tough one to call and alot will depend upon how each club has recruited over the winter but from what little I know I would see Brandon being a good bet along with Boldon CC.

In the DCL I can not look past Burnmoor.

So come on lets have some actual predictions

Chester will still finish top 3, possibly top 4 if Stockton click and manage to get their Durham players playing.

Kean, Arshad and Youldon are all good players at this level, as is Chris Martin who will probably cement a permanent place in the team now.

South North to win the NEPL yet again.

Rumours that Graeme Bridge was leaving Blaydon but I've had no confirmation of whether he has gone anywhere else. Havent heard anything so I guess he'll stay.

I'm going to go completely left field and pick Washington to win the first division. They've recruited well in the close season. I also think that they are the up and coming cricket club in the NE.

Has he signed for Newcastle, i heard they have signed one of Blaydons top players can't remember the name.

I'm told that the player who has left Blaydon is Ben Raine. Rumours that he has gone to play somewhere down Middlesbrough/NY way.

Mitchell Claydon is apparently going to be playing for Sunderland if not called upon by DCCC.
