As I understand it from the meeting.
Brandon relegated to DCL 1 to fill gap.
As I now understand it Washington, Shotley and Crook into NEPL. With Brandon filling DCL 1 gap.
I don’t know the ins and outs, but shouldn’t Brandon end up below the DCL? How have they gone straight into division one? Put them in Division 2 and promote the 3rd place in Division 2 to DCL1!

I think the feeling is that they've been 'relegated' from the NEPL because they haven't met league criteria so the natural decision is to put them in the next league down.

Seaham Harbour on the other hand 'resigned' from the league so they had to start again from scratch.

That might be the feeling anyway?

The Bradford League's showpiece Priestley Cup Final between Farsley and Woodlands was cancelled yesterday due to weather. The reserve day is today. After the postponement Farsley advised the League that they would concede as they would be 4 players unavailable for today. 2 going to away with Yorkshire 2s, one going back to Durham Academy and 1 going on holiday. The only players available as replacements are not of a good enough standard to play 1st team cricket in the Bradford League. Farsley is Ray Illingworth's club. The danger signs are not restricted to Durham.

Went to see Littletown vs Murton and then top of the table clash Burnmoor vs Burnhopfield.
Murton all out 31.
Burnhopfield all out 34.

Wins for our 1s against Blaydon and 2s against Eppleton yesterday.

As long at the NEPL motion for 2 to go up is approved then that's our 2s promoted, as 3rd place Hetton are too far behind now.

Congratulations mate and thoroughly deserved but we'll be fighting it out for the title. ;)

I think we need 10 points to be promoted and 54 points from 2 games for the league.

Spenny 1sts thrashed Middleton St George 2nds, the promotion juggernaut is back on track. Our 2nds humiliated at home to Cliffe 2nds, we've had it coming.
