Local cricket final weekend

Whitburn got to be favourites . Washy blow hot and cold , some talent but not hard enough as yet .

We have a canny side for Saturday but we've been inconsistent this season due to chopping and changing in the 1XI which filters all the way down to the 2XI.

Gateshead Fell are Champions though, South Hetton, will all respect to the lads who play for them and make a real fist of it when they play, are shocking. Shame because the lads that play are a nice bunch, We bowled them out for 60 on Saturday and they had won the toss, told me they had nee batters and still chose to bat.

I genuinally think Whitburn are the best 2XI in the league though, they've been very good all season and have lost out to the weather having had both games against the Fell abandoned after being in good position.

We'll still not role over on Saturday though, Not sure why we came under so much criticism last year for doing everything we could to stop Whitburn winning the league, Isn't that what any team should do? Its not as if they gave a 'sporting' decleration either..

Aye Hetton are struggling bless em , the fell murdered them up there and in the 20/20 and have a real top side out this weekend.
I wouldn't argue that Whitburn probably have had the strongest side over the piece but the side the fell is finishing the season with is a very strong one . Steel, lockey, Richie smith , Dixie, Steve davenport are all experienced premier league firsts . John davenport , Jamie arkle, Mitch Phillips , hirsty , big elly are all prem 2/1 level .
