Anyone have any details yet of fixtures etc. for the 2013 season?

Nothing much as yet on the NEPL website and I cant see any website at all for the new Durham Cricket League.

Saturday May 4th
April 27th according to NEPL website. Probably for Div 1 only as Div 2 have fewer teams.
NTSL starts 20th April.
The Durham league has fixtures on 27th also but might be provisional.

not much on it yet but that is the official ECB site for league cricket

NEPL2 starts first week in May, later than NEPL1 due to fewer teams. Also a week off in July I believe for NEPL2.

Fixtures have been published too although I only have those for my club.

Looks like Brandon off here has got his way re the junior leagues for 2013. I'm told that Brandon and Houghton will no longer be in the Central League and have been have been replaced by Sunderland & Philadelphia.

It also looks as though the CLS CC junior teams will be playing all of their games away from home due to the new pitch having just been seeded in the winter.

Philadelphia and Sunderland (along with Brandon and Houghton)were already in Central League when the restructre took place according to the map i was given,i take it Brandon gone into South West league, which area are Houghton going into? are they the only two that have been reorganised again

Sunderland werent in the original map I saw. Looks like an original split came out, the clubs fedback and that there has been a couple of revisions. Dont know the entire Central League now and dont know where Brandon and Houghton have disappeared into.

Edit - should have said that I think the Central League will be stronger without Brandon and Houghton. Brandon has never hit my radar junior cricket wise and Houghton dont even have an U11 or U13 team.

We will be looking to have a full junior set up back up and running from 2013/2014 season, with a few of our senior lads taking there badges in the coming weeks and then looking to recruit over this year for next season.

Used to have a very good youth set up at Houghton, but it has been neglected over the past 5 years or so, but with a few of us committed we should at least have a full quota

Yes thats what I saw originally. A lad posted them on here a while ago. However I'm now told that Brandon and Houghton are no longer in the Central League. Dont know who has replaced them.

Durham City, I'm told, are entering two teams at U11 level, one purely development ie full of 7 and 8 year olds. I think CLS CC would have done the same if it wasnt for the state of their pitch.

DCCC are entering 2 teams, one with the big guns, bell, hindmarsh, bushnal and co and some durham school lads and one team with the bairns so probably one that wins the league and one that finishes bottom but good to see so many kids getting involved although you never know with the change of rules may change the way things turn out but same as anything it all swings in roundabouts, unless of course some of the spending clubs pinch them with a mars bar and a grifter per season.
