Living Wage in Denmark

Is 25,000 DKK a month a decent wage for Denmark?
If gross pay: No - even on the 25% expert tax it’s quite low.
If it’s net: Yes, that’s above average

Of course it depends on your skills - it’s the starting gross salary of a policeman fresh from school.

Won’t get you long in Copenhagen, but as mentioned by others, if it’s outside the bigger cities you can have a nice life. The tax scheme has a lot to say too - don’t forget!

Granted the Danes get hammered in tax but they don’t half get it back in terms of decent public services.

The median gross pay per hour is 25,60 pounds, if that helps. A normal working month is 162,5 hours and you get 5/6 weeks paid vacation or 12,5-15% of your salary on top of that. There's also a 3% mandatory pension contribution paid by the employer on top of the salary.

The first about 50000 DKK (=6k) there's hardly any tax to be paid - after that it's 40-49%

Again, if the job is in Copenhagen you should be paid above the average
