Liam Rosenior

I wanted us to be a club trying something new. I was all in on a sexy hipster tactics guru. Roll neck sweaters and multi-lingual pressing.

If we go Rosenior then, meh.

But then again - meh, is what I thoughtabout Mowbray. Neil I always thought was an excellent appointment. Jack Ross I thought was a canny one.

You get it wrong sometimes. Sometimes you get it right. Very few appointments are as obviously a bad fit as Parkinson.

And then there is Beale - which is right up there as one of the stupidest moves I’ve seen any club make. Predicted by all except the board, who are arrogant enough to take us screaming as a sign they are right. You just know that.

So all in all - I’d welcome Rosenior. Disappointed, but a manager we could get behind. And should. He’s probably not going to the best we could have got. But you can’t argue he’s not a big improvement on Beale or Dodds. Clearly, he is imo.
If it makes you feel any better, he's big into scarves. Big ones at that too.

Not quite at the level of a Jack Ross cardy, but at least some potential for sartorial improvement over the last few tracksuit merchants.

The problem is that it seems the ‘ minimum requirements’ that prospective candidates want appear to be more than what’s being offered by the club.

I, personally, doubt that candidates like Still, Maric and Pascal were considered not suitable by KS and KLD while the likes of Rosenior are.

Can’t imagine what it’s doing to the morale of the squad, currently preparing to line up for training in a few weeks in Dodds free flowing, counter attacking 1-5-5 formation. 🙁
Squad probably won't give a toss a the minute while on the their holidays

Still don’t know why we sacked Beale and decided to give it to Dodds until the end of the season. Even appointing Beale made no sense, but surely we couldn’t have done worse allowing him to see out the season than it got under Dodds

Can you not remember the atmosphere around the place? Especially after the Hume handshake incident it was toxic, plus Dodds had actually done alright when he was in charge between Mowbray and Beale. I was quite happy for him to replace Beale. It went spectacularly wrong like.

I don't think they wanted to sack Beale I think they felt they had to due to the fans not wanting him, the Hume non handshake and then the Twitter stuff they probably felt they had to do it. Giving it to Dodds for the remainder was a stupid idea.

Beale kind of walked in through the back door to begin with. He probably felt more like Dodds' assistant than the actual head coach. He used to speak about the "management team" when he was here, yet when Dodds took over, there was no mention of a management team and he only referred to himself.

This isn't the Mike Dodds show.

Summed up perfectly Kenwyne!

Jack Ross cardy too tight and the skinny tie is pure Sunak - really out of fashion now.

Have to credit Rosenior though, that’s a solid and classic look. He looks mint.

Glad we did tbh, otherwise this summer Speakman would have been launching the Mike Dodds project.

So thank fuck Beale blew up so spectacularly to expose how shit an idea that venture was.
