Liam Rosenior

Every Coventry city supporter I know says Mowbray’s team played excellent football.
I think he has throughout his career wherever possible, but if you don’t watch the games and just hear his monotone droning and look at his granda face you assume he’s an owld dinosaur. I did anyway before he came here.

The same praise and criticism everywhere. Great attacking football but just can’t get a team to defend well enough to keep clean sheets.

You’d think after nigh on 20 years as a coach, an experienced CB would be able to work out that adjustment. Was alright here on that front until all our CBs got injured I suppose.

Me too. He’s never really had the best PR or media acumen, I wasn’t particular keen on listening to his interviews when he was here, but I still really liked him as our manager and thought the football at times was stupendous.

We weren’t terrible before then but we never really looked solid defensively despite having some very good defenders.

I loved his interviews tbh and looked forward to them every week, but I was in the minority.

There was something charming about listening to a redcar blockhead who looks like he should be down a pit waxing lyrical about football tactics, watching Pep’s teams and the “lovely soft feet”. The interview about the women’s team was class, someone who is self aware enough to know it’s new to him and he has to tread a bit carefully, but respectful enough to talk about them seriously and give an in depth answer.

Love TM me.

I agree with pre conceptions about him that were wrong, but it all depends on the players at your disposal and if you let them play with freedom. I remember /Mowbray saying they don't coach attacking training to our forward line at the time with Diallo etc. He said he used to just say go out and express yourselves

Think the worst thing we did was switch from a team who’d soak up pressure and transition quickly into a more methodical team who wanted to dominate possession and play from the back.

Surprised just how against this a lot of people are. Wouldn't have been my first choice but anyone else from abroad possibly more of a gamble. He has done well in every job he has had and Hull fans generally were not happy he was sacked.

I hope he gets given a chance at least.
It's not Rosenior they're against, they're just lashing out against the club. Hopefully regardless of who gets the job they've got it out of their systems by August and get behind the new man.

Yeah I didn’t mind all of that, but I thought he was a bit clumsy at times, saying things in public he probably didn’t need to say. I’m a huge fan though. Fork in the road moment for the owners when they sacked him. I don’t think they’ll come back from it.

You mean the Hemir stuff, for example? Or wanting to give Ekwah a slap to wake him up?

Yeah, I can see the perspective that some stuff should be kept behind closed doors. I think he just got frustrated at times and is a bit too open.
Had the same negative opinion on Beale and look how that turned out. Would love to be proved wrong.
I thought Beale would be a disaster, along with 99% of people. I think LR will be a decent appointment.

Let's hope so.

Depends on who the new man is - 99% on here knew Beale was wrong and were proved right. We're not Lemmings mate.
