It’s pathetic. People defending this appointment need to look in the mirror. Recall that Friday night game in January, worst game of footy I’ve ever watched.

They can be coached. There is also an article somewhere with their keeper talking about how he had to change the way he played for him. I think the majority of our defenders (not Leo) and midfielders can handle the ball well enough and will enjoy it.

The issue we have with his philosophy and style.of play is that we already have our own philosophy and style of play that is implemented throughout all of the age groups to make the transition and path to first team smoother.
He's basically going to have to dance to the tune that is currently being played which is fine if both align. This too could've been a factor behind others rejecting our advances. If you want to Coach Sunderland you basically have very little say in the players you have to work with, the coaches you get to work with and the style of football you get to play.

I don’t mind Rosenior coming in at all. Suspect if he was still manager of Hull people would have a different opinion.

The comments from Hull about his style of play have tarnished him a bit - his teams don’t play dull football, but like to control the ball and possession. I’ve got a mate who supports Hull and he was devastated when they got rid of him.

Good, progressive coach who his players love, championship experience but lots of room for further improvement too.

Could do a lot worse.

Two games against Hull were turd like, don't even really remember the first game other than Clarke scoring and thinking thank fuck something happened

Second game they had a massive injury crisis and did a job on us imo

You're going to be disappointed with the answer to your last sentence. A shambles this club is currently and nothing will change without major change at the top.
 
If it’s rosenior then fine, he’s proven himself to be a decent championship manager. But they can’t claim it’s stepping up a level and if they keep Dodds and Proctor on behind the scenes it just shows they are running on a shoe string.

It’s one thing to talk of a high performance culture and aspirations of promotion and to sign young up and coming kids to develop. It’s another thing spending the money to put together the framework to achieve those ambitions and allow the kids to develop.

Things needed:
1. New manager
2. High performance coaching team (look at youth coaches at successful clubs who could step up)
3. Experience in the spine of the playing team
4. Proven striker

Rosenior would tick number 1, but they still need to deliver in the other areas. Dodds lingering around like a bad smell isn’t doing the club any favours.
