Liam Plunkett

Winger
Ruled out of the rest of the T20s and the ODI series with a hamstring injury.

Whilst I would've taken the gamble, it fully justified England not trusting him for the Ashes series IMO.

Does it? Does an injury now mean someone is injury prone?

I agree with the OP. I would have taken the gamble but Plunkett is injury prone and I couldn't really see him lasting the series over there and having to bowl three spells in a day. It only took him a few overs in the ODI's and he was injured.

Well it was said with tongue firmly in cheek

I know plunkett shouldn't have been picked. I wanted him picked all the same.

Aye - I was the same. Our options were so poor I thought it was probably worth taking the chance while recognizing he might pull up at any time. Theoretically can they take as many as they want on tour?
