2009/10:
Season ticket update
Various queries have been received in recent days from season ticket holders - we've tried to get answers from the club and their responses have been as follows:
Three Year Season Ticket - refund:
There are no grounds for any refund due to NUFC not increasing season ticket prices for 2009/10. Three year season ticket holders signed up to qualify for a price freeze for all three seasons.- One year season ticket holders in 2009/10 are paying the same as them, but
there's no guarantee that will happen in season 2010/11.
Three Year Season Ticket - cancellation:
Should a direct debit supporter choose to cancel their direct debit commitment then no refund of any over payment is permissible. However, any credit value, following repayment of the difference between the 2008/09 standard price and freeze price, will be held against the supporter record and can be used as part payment towards any future season ticket purchase.
Away Season Ticket:
For those whose record makes them entitled, the offer of an away season ticket is again being made - but there's no automatic renewal of this for anyone who signed up in season 2008/09. Note that this remains an invitation only scheme and supporters cannot ask to be included.
Free Cup Tickets
All previous offers have now all expired, with the exception of Platinum Club bond holders, who continue to receive them in 2009/10. The scheme available to Bar 1892 ticket holders in 2007 was for two seasons only.
As an aside, provision has been made for Level Seven not to be open for cup games next season - unless demand requires. That means that anyone up there wouldn't be able to buy their own seat for such games - and others in lower sections of the Leazes Corner face being relocated from their seats as the away fans will be housed there.
Family Section/Milburn Level Seven:
The family section has now been extended to include the whole of the Milburn Level 7, but existing adult season tickets in that area can be renewed at 2008/09 season prices. Supporters are not being forced to vacate their seats, but don't benefit from the previously-announced additional price reduction for 2009/10.
Some fans who have bought three year deals in this area are entitled to direct debit reductions/refunds due to the revised £300 + £100 concession price. Contact the club quoting membership numbers to confirm situation.
VAT Reduction:
The 2.5% reduction in VAT set nationally applies to the time of purchase, which means that fans who signed up for the three year season ticket scheme are not entitled to benefit from the reduction - this is the advice of HM Revenue and Customs and is not specific to NUFC.
As the reduction isn't applicable to that set of season ticket holders, the same logic has been applied for those supporters buying one year season tickets for 2009/10.
New Season Ticket applications:
Anyone wishing to buy a new season ticket for 2009/10 can either write to the club here or call them when the general sale commences in July.
Season Ticket Form:
Adjusted prices were included on season ticket renewals for supporters who now qualify for a concessionary as a result of the alteration of the age limit for 16 to 18. However that was dependent on the date of birth for that supporters having previously been registered with NUFC.
Anyone who is unsure of the price of their season ticket should call the club on 0844 372 1892 or visit the box office and quote their membership number.
Season Ticket cards:
For those supporters who are renewing, the season ticket cards for 2008/09 will be used once again. We're seeking clarification on this for those who didn't retain them.
Season Ticket renewals:
The closing date for renewals of existing tickets has been set at Wednesday July 1st. Renewals can also now be made online here.
SJP Price/Seating Categories:
