massively unsuccessful as player-manager for us, once he was at Rangers he used to come into my old work in Stirling now and then (all the Rangers folk lived in the Stirling area). Chatted with him often - I know it's a cliche but he actually is a MLF, as ever the club got under his skin a bit, he failed, he was exited, but he remains a fan of SAFC. Taking a snipe at the Mags comes as no surprise at all. For the record although he flopped at Hibs he did achieve very good results in other appointments in Scotland, particularly Inverness Caley prior to Hibs.

I don't mind the mocking of them but the rafa situation was a bit borderline obsessive for me.
 
Saw Terry in Minories in 1993 when he was getting his presumably sponsored car serviced, the bastards were fawning all over him, while fobbing me off. His dress sense was f***ing awful.

I just think it was part of the whole picture at the time, and I think part of the response was because of the way the Mags were going on about a manager who failed in his task but who was being giving heroic like status. I think there was also some frustration that they couldn't see any rational arguement against him.

Fuck them. On their forums and social media they've been saying we've been getting relegated every season for 4 years. FFS they even had relegation parties booked for us at two pubs not long ago. Just earlier this season when the Rafalution (churtle) began they were convinced they'd stay up and we were doomed. Now they're even saying they're glad they are in the Championship with Rafail Benitez :lol:

What's happened is a pretty rare event in my lifetime and I've had years of shit off these fuckers at work. Am I going to milk it for all it's worth? Yes I f***ing am :lol:

(Un)Interesting Butcher fact

When he was Manager here he used to walk along Seaburn seafront most days. One day he got talking to my Dad and me as we were walking the dogs, i can't remember why but i do remember him saying how he didn't really like football anymore and he won't let his kids play it as he wanted them to play Rugby. He was sacked not long after that.
