Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

To be fair to Hibernian at the time, their season was imploding before Butcher had arrived. After qualifying for Europe the previous season, they were beaten 0-7 at home by Malmo. They then lost home and away to bottom club Hearts, who were fielding a bunch of youth players and cast-offs because they were in administration. The Hibs fans protested in the streets after Hearts knocked them out of the League Cup.

Butcher, on the other hand, had Caley Thistle ticking over nicely at the top end of the SPL and one game away from a Hampden final. It seemed a good appointment at the time.

Absolutely this. I would have him and Kevin Ball employed for life in a heart beat at Sunderland. In the way Man U employ Sir Bobby. Get ticket sales up, encourage kids to sign for the academy, the odd motivational speech to the first team, and as far away from any coaching as it's possible to get!

 Utter f***ing nonsense

Balls tenure as manager here has been a roaring success

Off for a pint with Tommy Lynn in hawes tomorrow, have not seen him since the mags went down, certainly going to have some good craic:lol:
