The first half at Villa was the microcosm of all their (including Rafa) failings.
But, just like McClaren kept insisting .......... they were improving every week

I've been laughing at them for years. We've got at least a whole season to laugh at them. Gerrin!
I know that you will twist logic to fit your narrative but when the great and the good of football say that Benitez didn't have enough time, I'll take their word over a biased Sunderland fan. Carragher said, before Benitez had even taken charge of a game, that he's unsure there were enough games left as Rafa isn't firebrand motivator, he'd need time to turn the ship around.
We went down because we accrued insufficient points over 38 games to end the season outside the bottom three. You can point at 3 games if you like but that's cherry picking at it's worst. We would have stayed up had McClaren beaten Villa and not lost to you, or prevented Everton and Watford from doing the double over us, and so on.
It's revisionist to declare that Rafa was to blame for our relegation, just as it's revisionist to declare that sunderland sent us down.
I understand why you would try to manipulate the facts to show either of these things though, so if it helps, you crack on old boy.

Posted this in the plane thread but might as well copy and paste it here
f***ing hell, again the clap trap about the money for the plane should have been going to a charity is trotted out!
Many Sunderland fans will be dismayed by this aerial stunt, especially when the money could have benefited a local charity.
Without the plane there would have been no fucker suggesting anyone give to a charity/good cause. Because of this #obsession (seems to be their answer for any piss taking now!) it's over £1000 as it's £357 from us (possibly more now) and £662 from the 'not obsessed though' (You must be logged on to see external links) is now going to charities/good causes yet no media outlet or fanzine/farsebook page has said anything about this!
It's a bit sad that they'd rather look at the negatives and feed the faux outrage about our 'obsession' to get clicks and revenue from ads (the main reason for it) rather than accept it's simple piss taking and that more than £1,000 is going to various places in the North East.
anyone on Tw@tter want to put them right and hoy a reply on the article also?

Um, that's not a limerick like. Here's a little limerick in honour of the 7 day anniversary...
There was a fat man from Spain,
Who came to England on a plane,
He said he was a silver service waiter,
He was in fact the Magpie Relegator.
Um, that's not a limerick like.
A limerick is AABBA, not AABB.
