Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

Benitez failed to beat Sunderland, Villa and Norwich.

He's great. I hope he stays.

In 12 months you'll be whining he's too defensive. He sets up games not to lose. Two banks of four closely squeezed on the 16 yard line. It's been the criticism of him at Liverpool and everywhere he's been. Certainly if you can't beat the bottom teams in the Premier League then he ain't that great and it isn't going to work. Good luck with defensive football in the championship.

Oh and enjoy.

Aye, Liverpool fans despise him.

Just typed "sam allardyce wiki" in the address bar and clicked on his wikipedia page, scrolled down to managerial statistics. Fairly straightforward.
Come on, you don't have to justify to me how you know everything Sunderland. Bet you've even got red and white jimjams.

John Carver has led Newcastle to more victories as manager (4) than Benitez (3). As does Joe Kinnear.

He is second only to Shearer as Newcastle worst manager of the Premier League era.

The Rafa obsession is about one thing and one thing alone. Denial.

Perhaps. I'm pretty certain that we would have raised our game to compensate if that did happen. He still had you playing like dogs hire at Villa, and that was weeks into his tenure.
If I remember correctly both Di Canio, and Dick had fewer games to save us.

Yeah I think the Villa game was too much for our delicate little peonies, the pressure got to them and they couldn't handle it. First time he looked properly frustrated in the post match interview. I don't think the Villa game would have held so much importance had he been in longer.

 Did you watch us under Hughton in the Championship.? Direct football, fairly defensive setups and at times boring as Hell. We strolled through that league.

I've seen a few Sunderland fans mentioning Newcastle's record against Villa, Norwich and yourselves in the final run-in, as if games out of context are representative of a manager's caliber? I don't think Mourinho ever beat Pardew, did he? Poyet had Pardew's number though. I mean, if we're allowed to take games out of context Benitez beat Spurs, Man City and Liverpool. Manage that and we should get promoted by Boxing day, right? ;)

Aye, Liverpool fans despise him.

They like him because he had an anomalous bit of success in Europe. Same as McClaren.

And like McClaren, he has been an abject failure ever since. Inter fans hate him. Chelsea fans despised him. He destroyed a promising Napoli, barely lasted half a season at Real.

You think he's your ticket to European glory. You think it's where you belong. But like Rafa, you are clinging to a very brief period in the distant history, and are doing so to mask you embarrassment at your pitiful present day reality.

You forced your chairman to lose a succession of effective managers. Then, though your creepy adulation of absolute pisstakers like Ben Arfa, you forced your chairmen to buy a load of flair players and ignore your possession of the league's worst defence. You did all that because you think it's your right. That you are still "entertainers", despite the fact that it's as credible as Steffi Graf still claiming to be world's best female tennis player.

Here's the uncomfortable truth. You're an unglamorous small club who haven't won a single domestic honour since a the 10th anniversary of Hitler's death. You play your home games in a giant Sports Direct mug, pock marked by a ballooning number of empty grey seats. Your delusions of grandeur have relegated you - again. And what do you do? You clamour after yet another ineffectual show pony as your messiah. You twist reality until you can tell yourself that this relegation actually makes you a growing force in world football, when you think about it.

Your ambition should be to get Phil Brown in. That's your level. Local lad, knows your league. Sign Richard Keogh. An honest pro. Cheap. A battler. Maybe loan Danny Graham from us. We'll cut you a deal, we know you're skint. Aim for the play offs. You won't get there, but having an achievable target might stop the rot.

2017/18 will be tough, what with the relegated clubs' £100m parachute payments. But hold firm. By 2020/21 you've got a winning formula. Siem De Jong is on fire! You're in the Play Off Final!

OK, so you lose against AFC Wimbledon, but it was a honour to play a part in their fairytale. And who needs the Premier League?! The Championship is real football, and Big Philly Brown is one of wuh.

Stop whinging man! Bournemouth fans travelled 3 times as far for nowt. Was that your "suspect package" that the bother was about?
 It was an incredibly lifelike package.
