They are not happy, Hiring planes and all the shit patter, tragic as fuck.

As it happens they started the plane hiring idea and couldn't make it happen, we not only done it once but looks likely to be twice, all in the name of laughs and charity.

Dr gloom - "you'll hate BSA before long, trust me. Unless you're content with setting up for draws away from home against the poorest teams in the league and having to sit through the worst brand of football your club has ever played.

Fair play though, he did manage to motivate your lot and you deservedly survived ahead of us with the effort put in during the run in."
..............

Haven't read all of their thread about SAFC being the biggest club in the north east but was this idiot being serious posting this yesterday?... after how they went about the villa game :)

I don't understand that thread, they're talking ironically as if all the things they've listed - bedsheet protests, punching horses, 52,000 screaming Geordies, Cathedral on The Hill, famous number 9s, should be playing Europe etc - are all Sunderland fans creations (a 'straw-man' is the buzz term for Mags on here at the moment I believe) but they're clearly not! There's plenty of evidence of these things happening, half of the terms or sentiments have been written in the Chronicle multiple times in the last three days alone!!

I can't see that mentioned in the first link posted, haven't checked the second.

You are aware the accounts cover up until June 30th 2015? McClaren was appointed 10th June 2015.

The appointment of a Director (I know) is something that is usually disclosed in the annual accounts.
Was he appointed as a director?
I know he had a place on the 'football board' but that's in his capacity as manager/coach and it's only a notional subcommittee, as far as I'm aware he had no place on the full board?

They can't see it with Rafa man, huge delusional blind spot (he's still the messiah) - I've seen a few say exactly the same thing without a hint of irony.

Billy2sheds is desperately trying to peddle that line on here. In all fairness to those on that board, they're pretty cynical about their team, but they can't grasp the size of this forum. There's bound to be a few idiots on a forum this size, but they fail to grasp that they soon get shouted down. They cite the thread about not wanting to win the league now because it would mean less after Leicester won it. I'm pretty certain that was started by a mag WUM, but they failed to see that most replies told him to eff off. They have very few of us over there trying to wind them up.

'It's nee achievement staying up man'

The same Mike Ashley who spunked the best part of £80M on the squad?

What a strange breed they are up there!
Let's hope Spuds go 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes

Exactly we only did it the first time because they couldn't get their shit together, we've managed it in less than 24 hours this time

How do you come to that conclusion?

Even when the majority of the mercenaries leave we've a decent spine to the side. I predict the assertion that every single player is terrible, but again, take off the Red and White specs and I'm not sure you'd be so damning.

I wouldn't bank on you having a decent spine.

I hadn't seen much of you but watched you at Leicester on the Monday night and thought you were near certainties to go down on that evidence.

Absolutely no fight nor urgency which was shambolic for a team desperately needing points. Even though I clearly wanted to see you lose the match, that performance even pissed me off. There's nothing more annoying that a complete lack of spirit from anyone.

Only Sissoko, Colback and Townsend when he came on deserved any credit from that match. Sissoko tried to drive the team on. Ok, when he was through he had a fairly easy ball to knock over to give you a good chance and he fucked it up, but it was no surprise to me that he was the player willing to make the effort to get into the space behind. Colback was his usual steady but unspectacular self, and Townsend showed a bit of urgency when he came on.

The rest of 'em? Absolute wankers who should have had their pay knocked on the head.

So, I wouldn't bank on you having a decent spine at all.

The appointment of a Director (I know) is something that is usually disclosed in the annual accounts.

"In 14/15 the Directors remuneration totalled £296k. The Highest paid director was on £150K. Where the other £146 went is unclear. It is safe to assume that Steve McClaren was on more than £150,000 a year, even as a twice failed championship manager. Many players earn double that in a week. So assuming the club have failed to disclose his salary as a director (or purposely set things up so they don't have to) that would leave £146k shared between Graham Carr and Bob Moncur."

It's in the second link, which the first one referred/linked to.

His analysis still doesn't hold water!

;)

bob moncur did well for us like

remember him crying when we got beat off Bristol rovers away

when we got the concrete off the under construction flyover chucked at us in the away end

We were shit the last time we went down, we cruised the Championship that time.

No I think I'd like you to because, while I'm not gifted with premonition, I predict which ever players I were to mention you'd dismiss. So how about you name the spine you think is so poor Newcastle will be in trouble next season?

We also beat Liverpool and Spurs, so we should walk it.. right? Unless of course games out of context aren't accurate markers of a team's ability? If that were the case, Villa would be guaranteed to be in League One come the 17/18 season, right?

We actually do have a few strong characters, the manager thing is a worry, but bear in mind Hughton wasn't a good lower league manager then, he was an assistant manager.

We'll be grand.
It's very much an unknown as I think your squad now will be very different at the start of the season. However, there are some players who will form the basis of your team and are good enough to add to, Dummet,Colback, Lascelles, keeper is covered, Mitrovic and more you can name. The new players who didn't do their job this season won't do it next and I don't think you want them anyway.

Might as well chuck this here since my thread for it died a nasty premature death (for a change). . .
