Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

You do appreciate the accounts don't reflect the current position don't you? What facts are you referring to?

The way Newcastle United structure the deals, taking into account amortisation, taken from Swissramble, mikeashleylies, and so on. I understand that the dream is that Newcastle is financially fucked, but we're in a very healthy position, better than Villa (until their new owners take over) and frankly, yourselves.

You don
We were shit the last time we went down, we cruised the Championship that time.

No I think I'd like you to because, while I'm not gifted with premonition, I predict which ever players I were to mention you'd dismiss. So how about you name the spine you think is so poor Newcastle will be in trouble next season?

We also beat Liverpool and Spurs, so we should walk it.. right? Unless of course games out of context aren't accurate markers of a team's ability? If that were the case, Villa would be guaranteed to be in League One come the 17/18 season, right?

We actually do have a few strong characters, the manager thing is a worry, but bear in mind Hughton wasn't a good lower league manager then, he was an assistant manager.

We'll be grand.

Ok here we go terry, you dont have a decent forward, you dont have a decent midfield player your centre halves are shit, thats why you got relegated, did you know that,?yes relegated, with no fight in the team

Forgetting about the TV money then Terry Fuckwit?

It's difficult to do this as it's difficult to tell who will still be there.

I would imagine the following to be off though:

Krul
Shelvey
Townsend
Wijnaldum
Sissoko
Tiote
Mitrovic(maybe?)

Which would leave you with
Elliot (a decent enough gk)
Lascelles (again decent enough)
Colback
Perez(does he have the fight for Championship?)

You obviously know your team better than me though.

I'd imagine if you had the spine of the above, you'd be in the playoffs next season providing you have a decent manager who gets the players to actually fight. (Again I don't think Rafa is this type of manager).

Yes, you're in such a good shape you've just spent £80 million on shite and became the most expensive team to be relegated in history. You're also missing out on a record breaking premier league TV deal, and your income is reported to drop by about £200 million next season. Not only that, the media and newcastle's very own lee ryder are also reporting most of the players are looking to get out already.

Premier League TV deal per club- £100 million
Championship TV deal per club- £2.5 million

And got knows how much you had to pay off to get rid of Tufty...

Not suggesting you're financially fucked but unless you're privy to current financial information, considering the level of investment in the playing squad and management since those accounts I don't think you can say for one second that the current financial position will be nearly as rosey at you're suggesting.

Another thing I'm wondering, I've seen you a number of times in the last few days talking up your players and their attributes, mentioning how Sunderland fans underrate every Newcastle player. So, how is it in your opinion, that the infallible, god like managerial genius that is Benitez has failed to get a tune out of them to claw back a one point deficit with a game in hand over a quarter of a season? Something has to give as I can't see how you can spin that to being Ashley's fault.

Bloody mags trying to spam me on twitter and locked my account
managed to get it unlocked(the little buggers!)

Assuming those players go (along with some others) it would leave us with

Elliott/Darlow
XXXX Mbemba Lascelles Mbabu
Colback/Anita XXXX
XXXX de Jong Perez
Armstrong
The Spine we had last time was

Harper/Krul
XXXX Colo Taylor Enrique
Smith Butt
Nolan Barton Jonas
Ameobi

Most people thought the 3 foreign lads would be off, but suitors were scared off by their wages, their previous poor performances and their transfer fee. For the same reason I could see us hanging onto Mitrovic, Townsend, Shelvey.

I don't think Rafa will stick around.

These "healthy" accounts that the mags are spouting off about, were they before they spunked £100m+ up a wall?

Add in no relegation wage clauses, the recent transfer fees, signing on fees, agent fees and the massive downgrade in future revenue. They are surely going to have to move on quite a few players?

Where do you get that £200m figure from?

What are you thoughts on Shelvey? To me he seems to have been somewhat toxic, looking at how things turned sour @ Swansea and how they're performing since he left. As well as how Rafa has left him out? Something isn't right with him...

As for Townsend, I imagine someone will come in for him, even a promoted club potentially, would be very surprised if he's still there next season.
